If you have ever sat through a Diwali card party, you know Teen Patti already, or you think you do. AW9 Teen Patti follows the same three-card idea, but an app is stricter than your uncle about the rules. This guide gives you the hand order, what blind and seen mean, and the table words you will meet.
How the Game Goes
Three cards each. Players bet in turn, and each one either stays in or packs. The last player standing wins the pot, or the best hand wins if it comes to a show. It is usually played with a normal 52-card deck.
Hand Order, Best to Worst
| Hand | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Trail (Trio) | Three of a kind | Q Q Q |
| Pure Sequence | Three in a row, same suit | 5 6 7 of spades |
| Sequence (Run) | Three in a row, mixed suits | 8 9 10 |
| Color (Flush) | Same suit, not in a row | 2 6 J of clubs |
| Pair | Two of a kind | 9 9 K |
| High Card | Anything else | A 10 4 |
Keep this list in your head before you put money down. Most beginners lose hands they could have packed simply because they thought a color beat a sequence.
When Two Hands Match
- Trails: the higher rank wins, so three Aces sits on top.
- Sequences: the higher run wins, with A K Q at the top. Where A 2 3 ranks varies between versions, so read the table's rules.
- Colors and high cards: compare the top card, then the second, then the third.
- Pairs: the higher pair wins, and the third card breaks a tie.

Blind or Seen?
A blind player has not looked at their cards. A seen player has. In the classic game, blind players pay less per turn, and looking at your cards moves you to the higher seen amount. The exact stakes depend on the table.
Playing blind is cheaper and it makes others nervous. Playing seen means you know what you hold. Neither is the "correct" style, and most people mix both.
Table Words
- Boot: the starting amount everyone puts in.
- Chaal: bet and stay in.
- Pack: fold. What you put in stays in the pot.
- Show: with two players left, reveal the hands.
- Side show: a private comparison on some tables.
Teen Patti, 3 Patti and AK47
AW9 lists both Teen Patti and 3 Patti, and the lobby also has an AK47 tile. In the AK47 style of play, some cards act as wild cards, which changes which hands are strong. A rule change like that can flip what you know, so open the rules screen on any new table.
Sensible Table Habits
- Pack weak hands early. It is normal and saves money.
- Do not stay in only because you have already put money in.
- Pick a stake that lets you play a good number of hands.
- Stay away from "Teen Patti hack" apps. They do not work.
The tables are the same in the AW9 app and the web version. Complete your AW9 login, go to card games, and start at a low table. Want something faster? See Andar Bahar and Dragon Tiger.
AW9 is only for players aged 18 and over. Real money is at stake, so bring only what you can afford to lose.
