Andar Bahar and Dragon Tiger get searched together for a good reason. Both are quick card games where you make one pick and the deal does the rest. They are not the same game though, and mixing up the rules is an easy way to lose a bet you did not mean to place. Here are both AW9 card games, side by side.

Andar Bahar on AW9

This one comes from India, and many players know it from home. The word joker here has nothing to do with a joker card. It simply means the card turned up first.

  1. One card is shown face up in the middle.
  2. You bet on Andar (inside) or Bahar (outside).
  3. Cards are dealt one at a time to the two sides, in turn.
  4. The side that gets a card of the same rank as the middle card wins.

Suit does not matter. If the middle card is a 9, the first 9 to land decides the round. Which side gets the first card, and how each side is paid, can differ between tables. Read the rules screen, since that detail affects the return.

Dragon Tiger on AW9

You could teach this game in thirty seconds.

  1. Bet on Dragon or Tiger. Many tables also offer Tie.
  2. One card goes to each side.
  3. The higher card wins.

Two details to check on your table. First, how the Ace counts, because in many versions it is the lowest card. Second, what happens to Dragon and Tiger bets when the two cards tie, because some tables take a part of the bet and rules differ.

Common Questions

Which of the two is better?

Neither. Pick the one you find more fun. Dragon Tiger rounds are quicker, which also means money moves faster. Andar Bahar has a little more suspense.

Is the Tie bet worth it?

A tie is rare by nature, so it pays more when it lands, and it does not land often. Treat it as a side bet, not a plan. The payout is on the table's rules screen.

Can past results help?

Tables often show a results strip, and it is fun to look at. It tells you what happened. It does not tell you what comes next, so "Dragon is due" is not a real idea.

Habits for Quick Tables

  • Set a fixed number of rounds before you begin.
  • Keep your bet flat. Raising it after a loss is the classic mistake.
  • Pause between rounds now and then. Fast games reward nobody for speed.

More of these are in the AW9 tips guide. Both tables sit under card games once you complete your AW9 login.

AW9 is for adults 18 and over. Both games are decided by chance, and money you bet can be lost.
